Ostracized, Outdated Left parties protest Modi's invitation to Obama : CPIM, CPI dumb leadership drive LF parties to extinction

KOLKATA / AGARTALA, January 25 (TIWN): Left parties and Prakash Karat led CPM were decimated in elections in every part of India except tiny Tripura but these old comrades still prefer to live with previous century's outdated mindset. No political party can beat CPM in terms of hypocrisy and CPM trademark of 'thinking backward'. Tripura's Manik Sarkar or Left parties have no qualms in accepting American funds, World Bank Loans in multiple projects but Left parties lack common sense in welcoming a foreign leader into country. Accusing the Narendra Modi government of compromising India's sovereignty by inviting Barack Obama for the Republic Day function, several Left parties on Saturday staged rallies in Kolkata, Tripura opposing the US president's visit. When 21st century world revolves around business and investments, even hardcore leftist nations like Cuba to China has become USA’s business partners but visionless CPIM Politburo and its Octagorian leaders chosen to remain in their century old dark pit of ignorance.

In Kolkata, rally was attended by Left Front chairperson and Communist Party of India-Marxist politburo member Biman Basu, Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal assembly Surjya Kanta Mishra and CPI state secretary Manju Kumar Majumdar.

"The decision (to invite Obama) makes it clear that the Modi government has adapted an extreme right-wing policy. They have chosen a path that will compromise our country's sovereignty," Bose said at the rally.

"This government is attempting to make India a US ally and we oppose it," he added.

Bedsides the Left parties, a protest march was also organised by the Saho Nagarik Mancha, a civil society organization.

"Whether it's the UPA or the NDA governments, all have become agents of monopolist capitalism. We strongly criticise the invitation to Obama," said Prasun Bhowmik, poet and convenor of the Mancha.

In Tripura's differnt parts,SFI and CPIM organized rallies on Saturday to protest Obama's India visit.

Rather than proper vision and economic development, Indian communists are doing everything else so that the CPIM, CPI parties themselve become extinct in near future.

Already Left parties have become non-entities in India as no one cares their non-sense ideologies, in another 5 years time India's left parties will remain only in history.

Communist China is America's largest trading business partner; India's Octagorian Communist leadership will never learn to adapt themselves in 21st century.
