KAMALPUR, JAN. 24, (TIWN): The corruption and embezzlement saga of TSECL continued at rampant pace. The corruption-happy DGM and Senior Manager not left a single chance of embezzlement to gallop the public money. But the higher up officials of TSECL remained silent about this huge embezzlement. Another corrupted RD Department’s engineer from Kailasahar namely Dipesh Baidya left the job of RD and joined TSECL to suppress his corruptions. He also got posted in this division.
From the last year almost lakhs of rupees been already gobbled by the DGM and Senior Manager in the name of a gardening. The garden situated by the office of the DGM has saplings of two or three plants. But for these three saplings almost lakhs of rupees had been shown spent and drawn from last year. Not only that, by the roadside of the DGM office an unused transformer and power unit lost all its machinery. All the machinery costing not less than Rs 20 lakhs rupees were not sent in auctions, as per the government rule. But the close-aide contractors of the DGM and Senior Manager took that machinery at their will not paying a single paisa to the department. Those contractors also drew bills from the government for this purpose.
But mysteriously, the higher-up officials remain reluctant about all these corruption and embezzlement. More seriously, even after several knockings from honest employees the department not showed any interest to remedy the situation.
