AGARTALA, June 12 (TIWN): Amid the ongoing severe crisis in the Health Dept, there is no sign of regularization among the staff nurses who are working since Covid time on contractual base. Over five thousand nurses in Tripura are unemployed and hospitals are suffering due to staff crisis. In this condition, the contractual staffs of GB Hospital demanded that they should be regularized like Doctors. “Doctors who joined with us, were regularized but even though we also worked with equal efforts and dedication, we could not be regularized. We want to know the reason behind the deprivation”, said a job aspirants.
They also informed media that for 3 months, many staff nurses who are on contract did not get their salaries.
Their contracts which were earlier extended at each 3 months are now shortened to 2 months. As a result, they are suffering through uncertainty regarding their future.
They wanted to meet the superintendent of the hospital but the official was allegedly not willing to meet them and listen to them.
