AGARTALA, July 8 (TIWN): Terminated 10323 (PGT) teachers on Thursday stated that a major section of 10323 teachers were not included in the termination case that was filed under Tanmoy Nath case. Addressing media, a terminated teacher said, “Both the Ad-Hoc recruitment of 2017 and 2020’s Terminations are illegal. We have the judgment in our hand. It says…….‘according to this court the memorandum dated 31st March 2020, is a communication, is set aside (means dismissed) with a liberty to the respondents to pass a specific order………’ The 10323 teachers also claimed that the court order was asking further under which court order the termination was given. Court also said, if the order of the Dept is not agreed by the petitioners then the petitioners (10323 teachers) can take the legal path. “We did not go against Tanmoy Nath. Tanmoy Nath is correct but our claim is we are not under Tanmoy Nath’s case”, the 10323 teacher said, further requesting the PGT terminated teachers to submit the representation to the Dept and then give the receipt copy to the PGT Association for further legal actions.

The ruling BJP had promised before 2018 election that once BJP comes to power, 10323 teachers problems will be solved, now after 6 years of Governance has taken 180 degree turn from its given promise and there is no attempt to reverse the fate of the 10323 teachers. Talking to media, on behalf of the PGT teachers among 10323 teachers, the PGT Association stated that they are around 700 victims who had no link with the Tanmoy Nath case and that’s why their jobs had never gone.

The terminated teachers also placed few other points like under same case row, few other teachers in science are still working without being affected but there are massive discrimination against other 10323 teachers.

It was informed that after submitting necessary documents to the Education Dept a receipt will be collected for each submission. The Association told other PGT terminated teachers to do the same and to submit the receipt copy so that they can place them in the Court and also all necessary paper works will be done for each PGT 10323 victims, stating further that it’s the only opportunity to save their jobs.
