AGARTALA, July 6 (TIWN): A road goer was hit by BJP MP Rebati Tripura’s escort vehicle on Tuesday in Tilthoi Deochara area under Panisagar.

MP’s vehicles were going to Dharmanagar from Agartala when Ananda Malakar, who is a ice-cream seller by profession was hit by the escort from behind. Ananda Malakar is a resident of Ward No-4, under Managalkami Gram Panchayat.

However, the injured man was taken to hospital via that vehicle to North Dist Hospital, Dharmanagar.  He has been shifted to isolation ward.

Allegation of excessive speed came against the vehicle.

Question raises, if laws are same for all, why the MP’s escort would not be taken under action?
