AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): Ambassa Traffic Police during patrolling spotted a container vehicle number- HR38Y2025 parked on Road side and after led a check in the vehicle based on suspicion Traffic Police discovered hidden chamber and informed to the Police, DCM, CRPF and DCM. After receiving the news Dhalai District Superintendent of Police Abhinas Roy, Ambasa Divisional Police Officer Suman Majumdar and Ambasa Police Station OC Biswajat Debbarma. Ambasa DCM rushed to the spot.
The Superintendent of Police of Dhalai District said that 54 packets of Cannabis were recovered from the Secret Chamber of the parked vehicle
A total of 897 kg of Cannabis was recovered with a market value of Rs 2 crore.
Ambasa PS Police will investigate the case by taking a case under NDPS.
On the other hand, question being raised that Ambasa PS has a checking point in Bet Bagan area next to Agartala National Highway, then how the vehicle came to Kanthal Bari area of the National Highway under Ambasa police station after passing the checking point?
