AGARTALA, May 19 (TIWN): Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Friday conducted a bulldozing drive in Agartala starting from Agartala Kalibari to ITI road. During the drive, many shops and properties were removed. A family whose entire building was destroyed accused AMC for taking bribes and conducting this motivated, illegal drive. The owner of the house alleged that he had proper documents to show but no official was interested to see them. Another woman screamed at the AMC’s activity, alleging, she was not given even a notice and little time to reply or take action.

However, the ADM authority said such drives are not illegal and they are necessitated to free the city from everyday traffic jam problems.
