AGARTALA, May 14 (TIWN): Day after Karnataka Assembly poll results, where Congress received massive victory and BJP witnessed a significant loss, Tripura former CM Manik Sarkar said, “Karnataka defeat is not only defeat of BJP but also faceless of Prime Minister Narendra Modi”.
“Various programs were organized by keeping PM Modi’s face ahead and after attending such programs in some places, PM Modi said that voting for BJP means voting for Modi. Even after voting campaigning time was over, still people attempted to be lured by releasing leaflets”, said Manik Sarkar.
“Various attempts were taken to create disharmony and Bajrangbali’s name was used for political gains. BJP played with the reservation issue too, but even after all these, BJP’s massive defeat has rattled the party and Narendra Modi’s image”, Sarkar told media.
“Voters have given a befitting reply to BJP’s all attempts”, he added.
