AGARTALA, April 26 (TIWN): CPI-M State Secretary cum Sabroom MLA Jitendra Chowdhury expressed massive resentment after he visited various interior areas of the state including Longtarai Valley on Tuesday. The legislator while interacting with media day after his visit said, in various villages people are suffering due to crisis of work and food. At the same time, massive drinking water crisis has gripped the state. “The BJP Govt since it has come to power, its leaders are busy in celebrations and the activists are engaged in extortion, but in villages of interior areas are suffering due to water crisis, malaria, poverty”, Jitendra Chowdhury told media.
“The people left without money in Pohela Boishakh, no work was given to them. The works that were given before Election, payments yet to be cleared”, said Chowdhury.
Jitendra Chowdhury cited a village named 23-Miles near Thalchara where a hospital service was allegedly stopped.

“Water crisis hit the areas. Hilly areas generally suffer due to water crisis especially in this season but no additional attempts are being taken to reduce the problems. People are unable to arrange two times meals for them”, added Chowdhury.
