Miscreants poured Black Ink on CM’s Bengali New Year Poster in Kailashahar : BJP demands probe

AGARTALA, April 19 (TIWN): On the occasion of Bengali New Year, banners with pictures of CM Manik Saha and Minister of Social Welfare Department Tinku Roy were installed in various areas under Kailashahar city by the Department of Information and Culture. But miscreants defaced the pictures of CM Manik Saha and Minister of Social Welfare Tinku Roy by applying black paint in the darkness of Monday night on April 17. As soon as it came to light intense anger was generated among Kailashahar’s people on Tuesday Morning i.e April 18.

It is to noted that centering the Bengali New Year, the employees of the Department of Information and Culture set up Bengali New Year Greeting Flax containing the pictures of CM Manik Saha and Minister of Social Welfare Department Tinku Roy in Paiturbazar, Central Road, Hospital Road, New Kalibari Road, Girls' School Road, Netaji Corner, and many other areas in Kailashar city. But Miscreants defaced the banners by applying black paint.

Centering this BJP placed a deputation to Kailasahar PS OC Sanjeev Lashkar on behalf of Kailasahar Mandal. The deputation was led by BJP Kailashar Mandal President Siddharth Dutta, and Kailashar Municipality Chairperson Chapala Rani Deb Roy, BJP leader Prashant Dey, Municipality member Siddharth Roy, BJP leader Prashant Mitra and many others were present while placing the deputation. After placing the deputation, Mandal President Siddharth Dutta strongly condemned the incident and demanded that the police should immediately arrest the miscreants and give appropriate punishment to the miscreants.

Siddharth Dutta also said that if the police do not take any role in this matter soon then a larger movement will be made. However, Mandal president Siddharth Dutta also said that there CCTVs are set up in the entire city, and the culprits can be identified soon based on the CCTV footage.
