AGARTALA, March 27 (TIWN): Even though a water tank has been built, the villagers have been suffering for a long time due to lack of palm operator.

The incident reported at Manirampur Ban Bihari ADC village under Hrishyamukh Block in Belonia, and centering the water scarcity, the local people of Manirampur Ban Bihari ADC village blocked the road from Hrishyamukh to Jolaibari in Manirampur Ban Bihari area from 5 o'clock this morning

The road was blocked around 5-6 hours, but no police administration had arrived on spot, as a result, several vehicles from both sides were stuck. Villagers in Manirampur Banbihari area told the journalist that the water tank in Manirampur Banbihari area has already been completed, but the palm operator has not been appointed till date. Resulting, the villagers are forced to drink water due to lack of water in their area.

Later, after a long time, Hrishyamukh PS police administration along with DWS officer Ocimohan Jamatia talked with the local people.

The locals strictly stated that the road blockade will be continued if their water issue nit resolved.
