AGARTALA, March 22 (TIWN): CPI-M’s trade union wing CITU has demanded compensation to the post poll attacked families.

After the Election results, huge numbers of families were attacked, houses were burnt and properties were vandalized.

CITU has demanded an assessment of these losses and to give compensation to all victims.

“Govt’s responsibility is to safeguard the people. As the Govt has failed to do so, then the compensation must be paid”, said former Minister Manik Dey.
