AGARTALA, March 21 (TIWN): On Tuesday morning, the police of Churaibari and Dharmanagar police stations under Dharmanagar sub-division achieved special success in an anti-drug operation at two separate places.

Based on tip-off, the police searched on a 12- wheeler Lorry Number- AS01DD5636 and recovered a total of 305 kg of dry Cannabis in 35 packets from a secret. Lorry driver Mofizul Haque (26) of Assam was arrested.

Meanwhile, on the same day at 11 o'clock in the morning, the police of Dharmanagar PS arrested three Cannabis smugglers from the road adjacent to Dharmanagar Durgapur railway gate.

A total of 30 kg of dry Cannabis in 16 packets from 4 bags were recovered from them. The arrested were identified as Mustafa Ahmed (36) of Dhanpur Boro Narayanpur area under Jatrapur PS, Shifan Dey (21) in Badharghat under Amtali PS and Hefjul Sheikh (27) in Barua under West Bengal's Murshidabad district.
