AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): Thieves stole three cows belonging to Shibu Sen of Sukantanagar area under Bharat Chandannagar block adjacent to Belonia town on Sunday night.

It is alleged that a group of thieves stole three cows and the three stolen cows were the only source of income for the family.

The theft incident came to light on Monday morning after noticing the door lock was broken. After going inside the cowshed, they saw three cows were missing.

After receiving the information about the incident, police reached the spot and started investigating the incident.

For the past several months, due to election season, the police have been active and as a result the theft incident was also stopped. But now such incidents are again on rise.
