AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): Locals raised corruption allegation in road renovation work in Sonamura-Durgapur area.

Locals alleged that the renovation work is not being done in proper manner, raised allegation against the Contractor of Corruption. Centering the improper work, the local people stopped the road Renovation Work. On receiving such information when the journalist rushed to the spot to collect news, the contractor Manna De misbehaved with the journalist, allegedly and trying to cover the matter with various excuses.

Residents complained that the contractor came to work in an intoxicated state. After receiving the news PWD workers went to the spot and said to the local people that it is impossible to complete the work with little money according to their demands.
