AGARTALA, March 17 (TIWN): Based on secret sources information, the forest department launched a search operation at Jasimuddin’s house in NadiLakh area of Gopinagar under Bishalgarh police station. The search operation was done under the leadership of Bishalgarh Forest Range Officer Subrata Sen.

When the forest department personnel surrounded Jasimuddin's house, they find a huge amount of stolen wood piled up behind his house.

However, Jasim Uddin ran away from home on hearing of the forest department's raid. The forest department staff asked everyone in Jasimuddin's house who owned the wood or whether the wood had any valid documents. The family member denies ownership of this illegal wood.

Bishalgarh Forest Range Officer Subrata Sen then hired a vehicle and took all the illegal timber to Bishalgarh Forest Range Office. Subrata Sen said that the market value of illegal wood will be above Rs 1 lakh.

They also said that such types of operation will be continued in the coming days. Like every other time, this time too, the smugglers escaped before the forest Department’s officials reached to the spot.
