AGARTALA, March 16 (TIWN): Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has called for constructive criticism and politics in the Assembly. CPI-M State Secretary, Sabroom MLA Jitendra Chowdhury said, if the Govt is taking decisions for public welfare then Opposition not only will support but will extend greetings.
CM said, “We have taken oath to keep the unity alive. All political parties elected leaders have taken oath to that. I expective constructive attitude in the Assembly and in the Governance. We will work for the people of Tripura and that’s our job. So I appeal to the people of Tripura to help the Govt and live in harmony”.
“Do not spread hatred in the society and regardless any difference, all should live in harmony. Tribes and non-Tribes should be living peacefully so that the Govt can focus on the development”, said Dr. Manik Saha.
This is the first Assembly gathering after 2023 Assembly Poll in which BJP has become the ruling party with 32 seats and 33 seats taking a count of IPFT’s one seat. Yesterday one MLA Pratima Bhowmik however has resigned to continue as the MP and Central Minister.
Tipra Motha MLAs did not take oath today as they will take oath on a separate date.
