AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): Just after the Assembly Election has been over, by-poll to start in Dhanpur as Pratima Bhowmik has resigned from MLA post. She has submitted her resignation letter to the pro-tem speaker Binoy Bushan Das. Pratima Bhowmik to continue as MP and Central Minister. It’s an open secret that Pratima Bhowmik wanted to become the Chief Minister of Tripura and her group circulated fake news about her race in the Chief Ministers’ list, although there was no race in reality and BJP High Command was always clear about Dr. Manik Saha to get the Ministry, the man with a clean image and good reputation.
On being asked, Pratima Bhowmik after rsigning said she was ordered by party to do so.
“I am proud that my party had chosen me for the Assembly Poll amid I am already holding MP post. Today, after party’s instruction and talking to everyone, I have decided to resign as I can not carry both posts at a time”, said Bhowmik.
