AGARTALA, March 14 (TIWN): 2 young people arrested with drugs, a motorcycle was also recovered. The incident took place on Tuesday in the area adjacent to Hawai Bari Naka Point under Teliamura police station. The police started investigating the incident as a drug case.

According to the news, two youths were coming towards Teliyamura along with a motorcycle bearing No-TR 01W6267 from Agartala with drugs. And the smuggling news came to SDPO Prasun Kanti Tripura, accordingly he sat down with the police personnel in Hawaibari area to detain the smugglers. While the two youths rushed at Hawaibari the Police team detained them, seized the bike and brought them to the police station.

Akash Sarkar (18) and Rajdeep Banik (18) who were on the bike were arrested and after led a search two mobile phones and 80 No. of containers of drugs were recovered from them.

The police have started an investigation to find out more information about the smuggling.
