As the blockade prevented vehicles including vehicles which were going to Airport and Hospital, former Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarman rushed to the spot and requested party workers to remove themselves as public were suffering.

Out of them one BJP worker named Tapan Kumar Bhowmik was serious and admitted to GB for a long time. After 10 days of struggle, the BJP worker breathed his last at GB hospital. Former BJP MLA of Barjala Dilip Das and AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder visited GB and consoled the family members.
