AGARTALA, March 13 (TIWN): Quality of Agartala SMART City items has been exposed as worse than one-time metarials raising eyebrows over the crores of funds’ utilization in the name of SMART City project.
Crores of funds were sanctioned by Modi Govt in last 5 years of the BJP Govt for Agartala SMART City but from lights to gym machines were put of a very low quality causing disruption of the services within 6 months of installation.
In Jagannath Bari Park of Agartala, it was observed on Monday that the stones and tiles which were used to beautify the park, have broken.
Talking to a morning walker in the park, he said, before the SMART City project started here in Jagannath Bari park gardening was a common view and the park looked so beautiful but now it has left like a desert without any greenery and the machines which were installed for exercise, these have turned risky to be used.
