AGARTALA, March 11 (TIWN): Reacting to the attack on Left and Congress delegations in Bishalgarh, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Tripura Congress Incharge said if Parliamentary delegation team members are not safe what are the situations of common men in Tripura, it’s understandable. He also said in no state that level of violence happens. Kumar asked, if CM Dr. Manik Saha is serious against violence, why are police not playing their role ? Why no statement came from him ? Ajay Kumar’s statement came after a violent attack took place in Bishalgarh on the parliamentary delegation who visited the violence affected areas.
Congress MP Abdul Khalek, Tripura Congress Incharge Dr. Ajay Kumar, Party State President Birjit Sinha, CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury and other Congress, CPI-M National and State leaders were in Bishalgarh and meeting the affected shopkeepers whose shops were burnt by miscreants. According to Congress State President Birjit Sinha’s allegation, since the beginning, BJP workers were gathering and telling them that the shops belonged to BJP workers which was not true.
