AGARTALA, March 10 (TIWN): In a positive move, Dr. Manik Saha led Govt has started compensating the people who have been affected in post-poll violence. On Friday BJP MLA Sushanta Deb told media that already from Govt fund initial compensation of Rs. 5000 and Rs. 3000 have been given as a part of ‘immediate relief’ whereas later assessments will be done to pay the actual compensation. The MLA handed over a check of immediate assistance of Rs 5000 to the shop owners and Rs 3000 to the traders from the emergency fund of Bishalgar SDM.

Bishalgarh MLA Sushanta Deb, Bishalgarh SDM Vinay Bhushan Das along with local representatives and market committee members were present. MLA Sushant Deb said that all government assistance will be provided to those affected people and that the culprits will be severely punished.

Both ruling and opposition party supporter families have been affected statewide after the poll results. Now, it’s to be seen how much impartial role Manik Saha Govt would play in the coming days.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has given a strict warning to miscreants regardless political identities with a message of ending violence forever.

CM said, no hooliganism will be tolerated and anyone who tries to disturb the peace shall not be spared and doesn’t matter who is the person.

Another challenge Dr. Manik Saha has taken is to end the illegal drug smuggling in this state.
