AGARTALA, March 9 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on first day of his office clearly denounced demands like Greater Tipraland. Saha said this one day after conversation was held between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Manikya and other leaders. CM Manik Saha said, “There are issues of the tribal population and BJP is always concerned about such issues. Solving those issues and to develop the community is our first priority but in no way, we will not support Greater Tipraland”. BJP has got 33 seats along with its IPFT’s alliance, and Tipra Motha turned the second opposition with 14 seats. Now there is a chance of post poll alliance between BJP and Tipra Motha but without constitutional solution, Tipra Motha would refuse any alliance.

Sambit Patra, BJP national Spokesperson after Amit Shah and Pradyot Manikya’s meeting told media in Agartala that no seat or post was demanded by Tipra Motha. It was rather a general talk about Tiprasa community’s development and BJP Govt will definitely address those issues raised for the people with ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikash’ mantra.

On the other side, Tipra Motha party workers are doubting about what the exact assurance was given by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Manikya in a long social media live talks with party supporters asked them to hold their patience and to giving respect and time to the Union Home Minister to appoint interlocutor for the dialogues’ exchange between the Party and the Home Ministry.

Pradyot Manikya said in clarification, “Lots of statements came since I delivered my statement. BJP also delivered statements but nowhere BJP has denied about my claims. When BJP did not deny my stand and claims, it means they also know what discussions have taken place. Now, interlocutor will be appointed and then after talks when claims and demands will meet at a point, then written promise will be given. Before that we (Tipra Motha) will function as Opposition”.

Replying to a question whether ‘constitutional solution’ means direct funding, Greater Tipraland or Article 244A, Pradyot Manikya said, any of them can be interpreted as constitutional solution or in other words, all these mentioned solutions come under ‘constitutional solution’.
