AGARTALA, March 7 (TIWN): One day ahead of Tripura BJP Govt’s oath taking ceremony, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national President J.P.Nadda have arrived in Tripura on Tuesday. Tomorrow, the oath-taking ceremony will be held at Astabal Ground, Agartala in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After arriving in Tripura, the National leaders reached the State Guest House. A closed-Door meeting started by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President J.P.Nadda, CM Manik Saha in Agartala at State Guest House. Tripura BJP has received 32 seats in Tripura Assembly Poll out of 60 seats and BJP’s ally IPFT got one seat. Tripura Election was held on 16th February and result was declared on 2nd March.

Tripura has witnessed tough competition with the opposition parties and in almost all seats political parties have won by narrow margins. Tripura BJP-IPFT’s seat numbers in 2018 poll was 44 which has been dropped to 33 in this poll. BJP’s vote share is 39% in Tripura in this poll.

ADC’s ruling, regional party - Tipra Motha Party turned the major opposition party at State Assembly with 14 seats after Left’s 11 seats and Congress’s 3 seats.

A chance of BJP’s post-poll alliance with Tipra Motha party is existing though no fruitful outcome has come out yet. Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Manikya said, without a constitutional solution of the Tiprasa people, there will be no alliance.
