Agartala, January 20 (TIWN): The 11th session of the Tripura assembly will begin from February 6 and the opposing Congress party is expected to raise a host of issues, including the malaria epidemic. According to the paragraph 174 (1) of the Indian Constitution, Governor Padmnabha Balakrishna Achariya had called for the sitting of the Assembly. In the 1st day of the session, Governor will deliver His valuable speech. After that session continues.
Many important bills including a bill for setting up State University in Tripura is likely to be presented in the assembly,” an official of the Tripura assembly said.
The main opposition Congress has decided to raise several issues to force the Left Front government to take steps for the well-being of the people.
It is to be mentioned here that the state government has failed miserably not only in checking the malaria epidemic and other diseases but has also been grossly unsuccessful in improving the quality of education and protection of human rights.
