AGARTALA, March 5 (TIWN): When Left, Congress contest in West Bengal polls against Trinamool they are not considered as BJP’s B-Team but if Trinamool, AAP, Tipra Motha fight in Tripura independently, how can each of them be considered as B-Team of BJP when Trinamool and AAP cabinet Ministers are arrested by CBI and Tripura BJP's Deputy CM was defeated by Tipra Motha in 2023 Assembly Poll? In 2018 it was IPFT, in 2023 it is Tipra Motha who caused a significant drop in Left/Congress's votes in the ADC area but is there any guarantee that in 2028 Assembly Election no such strong rivals like Tipra Motha will exist in Tripura again to defeat Congress, Left’s alliance ? Tipra Motha can not be solely blamed for the defeat of the Left, Congress allaince as Tipra Motha did not file candidature against CPI-M state secretary Jitendra Chowdhury in Sabroom and in Charilam, the party has defeated BJP’s once of the strongest tribal faces Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarman.

Pradyot Manikya was offered CM posts back in 2019 by BJP but instead of accepting, Pradyot Manikya chose to stay away from filing candidature till this poll. There will be always political rivals and games in politics, but instead of starting working at ground levels in the ADC, how long CPI-M, Congress alliance blame Tipra Motha for their defeat?

Tripura poll was held on 16th February and the result was declared on 2nd March. Even after filing candidates at a very minimum number of seats, Tipra Motha gained 22% votes and became the major opposition in Tripura Assembly.

Sources informed, Tipra Motha had deep-doubt over Left, Congress’s performance and that’s the reason Motha never came in alliance with the opposition.

On the other hand, Left and Congress alliance was although a positive decision but wasn’t it too late to decide, which confused the voters. Just before 2 weeks before the poll, Congress and Left aligned which should have been done at least a year back.
