AGARTALA, March 4 (TIWN): After Chief Minister Manik Saha and BJP leaders blamed CPI-M and Congress for the ongoing violence in state, the first-ever verbal reaction has come from Left Front defeated candidate from Forward Bloc party Partha Ranjan Sarkar after he met violence affected locals of Badharghat constituency. In a video it was seen that a woman who is not linked directly with any political party had alleged that the BJP miscreants have been attacking house to house, even though BJP supporters are existing in her home right now. Locals of Badharghat appealed the Forward Bloc leader to take attempts to stop such disturbance in the area.

Partha Ranjan Sarkar was defeated by BJP candidate Mina Rani sarkar with a margin of 1,540 votes.

After meeting the locals, Forward Bloc candidate Partha Ranjan Sarkar on Saturday told media “Police are although trying their level best to stop violence but police are not successful to control the situation”.

Sarkar cited few violence incidents like Gandhighram where bomb attack was organized in a Left Front supporter’s house.

“There were so many peace meetings and in the peace meeting it was decided that no violence will be conducted anywhere in the state after the result but we have seen as soon as the poll results were declared attacks on oppositions have been intensified. People are physically attacked, properties are burnt. Such nuisance should be stopped right now”, said Partha Ranjan sarkar.
