AGARTALA, Feb 27 (TIWN): Amid the peace talks are underway, programs are organized, singing/dancing and cultural programs, meetings have led the CEO, DGP to travel across Tripura to ensure a zero-violence poll, but all these have failed to motivate the BJP bike-gangs. Blind-Eyes of the Election Dept has overlooked 3 major life-threatening incidents where opposition workers have been attacked. One was in Belonia, one in Kumarghat and another in Bishalgarh. A deadly attack now has taken place in Bishalgarh Rabindranath College area by BJP goons that have left Gautam Sarkar severely injured. He is a CPI-M worker and has been working in the poll for the party. Ahead of counting day, such increasing attacks have been questioning on the Zero-Poll violence propaganda of the Election Dept.
Local people rushed the injured person to Bishalgarh hospital. The victim said, he will lodge an FIR against the miscreants. The incident happened just few hours after CEO held a program in Gokul Nagar, Bishalgarh with an appeal for peace.
