AGARTALA, Jan 19 (TIWN): The kidnapped driver of border fencing construction agency was released by today evening by NLFT militants said police official.

He reached Shikabari BOP under Raishyabari police station. Later BSF handed over the driver to police. Sources said the driver was released after payment of huge ransom to the kinappers.  

On 11 December last NLFT militant  have kidnapped Amrit Das( 29) resident of Asharambari, Khowai district working for NBCC.Meanwhile police nabbed a collaborator of BDRM . a militant outfit of Bru displaced people of Mizoram from Khakchang refugee camp under Damcherra police station of Tripura’s North district. He was identified as Romwia  Reang (38).
