AGARTALA, Feb 24 (TIWN): 2 police personnel were seriously injured in a head-on collision between two bikes in Santirbazar Betaga area.

According to the details of the incident, a collision took place between bike number TR 03E 7766 and bike number TR 03E 4533 in Betaga area of Shantir Bazar subdivision on Thursday night. As a result, two people from two bikes were seriously injured. A policeman named Shankar Sheel was injured critically, he is a resident of Betaga area. Another person injured in the accident is Tushar Sarkar (19), a resident of Latuatila area.

It is known, Shankar Sheel was coming home from Baikhora area, while Tushar Sarkar was on the way to home from Shanti Bazar. Suddenly, upon reaching Betaga area, two bikes collided head-on. In this accident, two people were seriously injured after falling on the national highway. The fire brigade personnel reached the spot after receiving the news of the accident and took them to Shantir Bazar District Hospital Trauma Care Center for treatment.

As Shankar Sheel's condition is critical, shifted him to the Agartala GB Hospital.
