AGARTALA, Feb 24 (TIWN): A delegation of the State Election Commission is visiting every District of the state ahead of the counting day targeting to maintain the law and order situation at the end of the polling period. The delegation of the State Election Commission led by CEO Kiran Gitte visited Khowai district by air on Friday. The delegation of the State Election Commission landed at Khowai Old Airport in the Sadar Town of Khowai District first by air. Chief Officer of the State Election Commission Kiran Gitte, Director General of State Police Amitabh Ranjan and several others were present in this delegation.
Khowai District Magistrate DK Chakma, Khowai Superintendent of Police Rati Ranjan Debnath along with senior officials of Khowai district received the delegation team.
State Election Commission delegation held an important meeting to maintain law and order with all high-ranking officials there.
Tripura Election was held on February 16 and the result will be declared on March 2nd.
