AGARTALA, Feb 22 (TIWN): An auto loaded with 60 bottles of foreign liquor was seized by the police from Tilla Bazar in Belonia city.

It is known that on Wednesday morning, the police of Belonia PS received secret sources information that foreign liquor bottles will be smuggled illegally. The Police accordingly led a search operation at Ek No. Tilla Bazar in Belonia city and recovered 60 bottles of foreign liquor of different brands from an auto vehicle bearing No- TR08A2436

The raid was led by SI Rahul Jamatia of Belonia police station.

Auto driver Khagendra De Kew was also arrested. He was brought to Belonia police station.

After primary interrogation, it is known the smuggler will smuggle the seized foreign liquor bottles to Tipra Bazar.
