AGARTALA, Feb 12 (TIWN): In comparison with previous Govts which ruled in Tripura, no extraordinary job could be done by the BJP Govt in last 5 years in Tripura in the transport sector. Instead of ‘HIRA’ project’s implementation, many roads remained without maintenance whereas under-construction bridges have collapsed.
Amid all these, Central Minister Sarbananda Sonowal claimed that Prime Minister Modi has kept his promise on HIRA and gifted Tripura with HIRA which means H for Highway, I for Internet, R for Railways and A for Airports.
Sonowal cited Agartala new terminal which inaugurated by PM Modi whereas the Airport was started under UPA Govt and with the initiative of Left Front in Tripura it got momentum when Suresh Prabhu was the Central Minister.
