AGARTALA, Feb 1 (TIWN): Ahead of Tripura Assembly poll, scattered incidents of violence continue in state.
In devastating political revenge, one CPI-M supporter Arijit Biswas’s car was burnt by miscreants.
The incident took place in Ishan Chandranagar, under Amtali PS.
On being asked, Arijit said, he does not have any particular doubt against anyone but he suspects that the heinous crime was conducted to take political revenge as he has been connected with CPI-M since student life.
Local Congress candidate of the area under the Surjamani Nagar constituency Sushanta Chakraborty visited the house, condemned the incident.
Police informed that so far three persons have been arrested in this incident and the investigation is underway.
Tripura Election is going to be held on February 16 and the result will be declared on March 2nd.
