SABROOM, Jan 31 (TIWN): CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury on Tuesday while addressing Sabroom rally slammed BJP for its fake promises given to the people of Tripura before 2018 Election saying that the Prime Minister himself was engaged in his fake-promise row of the BJP. Without taking names, Chowdhury also took a dig at the Congress leaders who with an aim to defeat the Left Front Govt joined BJP and helped BJP to come to power at that time. Jitendra Chowdhury also mentioned, a good number of CPI-M workers also joined BJP at that time. “I do not blame the people because Tripura people never saw a Prime Minister lying. Tripura never witnessed Central Finance Minister, or other states’ leaders lying. Naturally, when the Prime Minister said if BJP comes to power, there will be no fund crisis and all promises of the Vision Document will be fulfilled immediately BJP comes to power, the voters were trapped”, said Chowdhury.
He also slammed Assam incumbent Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his consistent lies and told him via the rally about how his ‘ghuma ghuma ke chalana speech is now so popular.
Jitendra Chowdhury is CPI-M’s CM face and a candidate from Sabroom constituency.
