AGARTALA, Jan 29 (TIWN): Out of many interesting constituencies, Badharghat is a crucial constituency, located at the entrance gate of capital city Agartala.
But the reason behind main interest is that this time BJP former MLA Dilip Sarkar who at the end of his life unofficially quit the BJP party and was allegedly not helped by BJP even for his medical treatment has been claimed by BJP and Congress both parties about moral ownership of the departed soul.
Amid all these claiming, BJP has given candidature to Meena Rani Sarkar, who is younger sister of Dilip Sarkar and Congress’s candidate is Rajkumar Sarkar, who is the elder brother of Dilip Sarkar. Both the candidates were seen in door-to-door campaigning at Badharghat constituency.
BJP this time has not given ticket to Mimi Majumder, who is the incumbent MLA of the Badharghat constituency.
