AGARTALA, Jan 26 (TIWN): Congress leader Joydeep Roy Barman has demanded suspension or removal of Bishalgarh SDPO Rahul Das during Election period citing various previous actions taken by the SDPO including filing false cases against opposition workers which are allegedly biased in nature. Noteworthy, SDPO Rahul Das was spotted at dinner with BJP workers in Bishalgarh who were involved in various clashes. Apart from that, opposition workers have been continuously accusing Rahul Das of his biased role against the opposition.Congress leader Joydep Roy Barman was made an accused in a suo moto case filed by police before around 3 months, where no action was taken against the actual culprits from the BJP Party.

Yesterday a Court granted interim bail for Joydeep Roy Barman. After that Barman visited Bishalgarh PS for legal formalities. While talking to media, Barman said, the SDPO must be relieved from the charges at least during election period. 

“If such false cases continue against us, how can we work in politics ? This is an election which will be fought with full efforts to unseat the evil BJP”, said Joydeep Barman.
