AGARTALA, Jan 23 (TIWN): On being asked by media persons regarding the possible outcome of Congress, Left alliance in Tripura 2023 poll when in West Bengal the alliance theory did not work out for them, Bengal Congress leader Mita Chakraborty replied, “Comparing Tripuras' political situation with Bengal will be a foolishness”.“In Bengal Trinamool is very strong and BJP already emerged as the opposition at that time. In that condition, it did not work out”, said Chakraborty.
Referring Tripura’s Law and Order problems, Mita Chakraborty said, “It has to be decided whether violence should be allowed to continue in a state or not”.
“We accept, violence happened previous. But somewhere it has to be stopped. According to BJP violence must be continuing after each political changes. People of Tripura are trying to get freedom from the tyranny of BJP and that’s why the alliance is made for. Violence is rampant in Tripura. How many were reported by National Media. Dr Ajay Kumar is a national leader and that's why that news was flashed and EC also could take immediate action, but what about the everyday violence ? If a national leader is not spared what is the overall condition of Tripura under BJP ?”, she added.
Tripura Election is to be held on February 23 and the poll result will be declared on March 2nd.
