AGARTALA, Jan 23 (TIWN): Election Commission’s Zero-Poll violence challenge taken for Tripura has put BJP in trouble as without Rigging and Violence BJP has no experience in Tripura Polls. Although few hours back in Bishalgarh an innocent family was attacked by BJP’s bike rally participants and the footage of the violence is viral but BJP continues to claim that it is not BJP but oppositions who are creating problems throughout the state.
Especially, the Jirania incident has rattled BJP where centering BJP's organized unprovoked attack on Congress leaving over 16 Congress workers seriously injured, Election Commission suspended Jirania SDPO Himadri Prasad Das and removed two Police Stations’ OCs.
After the incident across the state various BJP workers and also opposition workers regardless any party identity has been arrested which has hammered hard on the BJP.
Meeting with the CEO, today Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath and BJP spokesperson Ashok Sinha lodged a complaint against Congress and also submitted details of various other incidents where BJP claimed opposition led attacks.
Ashok Sinha while addressing the media almost threatened Election Commission, acting as very furious and said, “Law and Order are not in Govt’s hand now. We will not tolerate such discrimination”.
However, whether Ashok Sinha was really so angry or was doing over-acting to get MLA ticket, it's a question!
Ratan Lal Nath claimed, “In Jirania, Congress wanted to take away our party office and that’s why law and order was deteriorated”.
The move from BJP came urgently after four BJP workers along with Congress workers including BJP corporator were arrested yesterday and sent to jail.
BJP has no experience in seeing its own party workers’ are going to jail after violence. BJP is habituated by openly burning, and vandalizing newspaper offices, and opposition houses. How can BJP tolerate such actions by ECI which have been rattling BJP’s plan about Poll rigging and violence?
However, amid all these, major section of police officials are happy that due to Election Commission’s order, finally after five years Police are capable to take action against the BJP hooligans who have been disturbing the state’s law and order in the last five years.
