AGARTALA, Jan 22 (TIWN): After every 5 years, it’s the time when voters enjoy being superior in the hierarchy of Democracy as pampered by the political parties. Especially the ruling party leaders from CM to Ministers, MLA who are hardly seen during the 5 years of the regime, go house to house, some of them touch the feet of voters seeking votes. But in the case of Tripura BJP-led Govt, only within 5 years, anti-incumbency is massive against the Govt led a voter today to ask him about jobs when the CM was holding campaigning in his own Bordowali constituency.

BJP before 2018 election promised to give 50,000 Govt jobs by 2018-19, not by creating new vacant posts but by the posts which were laid vacant under the previous Left Govt. That promise of 50,000 Govt jobs was also laid in Vision Document published by then Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Tripura BJP spokesperson Ashok Sinha. In reality, not even 10,000 jobs could be given in regular posts under the 5 years of the Govt, whereas in teaching recruitment is at minus because of the sacking of 10323 teachers and not filling up those posts although qualified candidates were fighting to get recruitment.

However, voters’ complaints in front of media to the CM have been caught multiple times on camera displaying heavy resentment against the Govt. A major section of social pension beneficiaries lost their pensions and workers are undergoing work-crisis under Govt schemes.

Tripura Election is to be held on Feb 16, and the poll results will be declared on 2nd March.
