Kakraban/Shilghati/Udaipur, January 17(TIWN): Ahead of ADC election IPFT has once again raised the flame of separate Twipra land declaring that unless or until the tribal communities get this demand fulfilled, IPFT will continue its struggle. This issue was raised in a massive rally held at Shilghati Bazaar at Kakraban on Saturday. The rally was organized by the Indigenous Peoples' Front of Twipra (IPFT). With this rally IPFT has officially begun its campaign for TTAADC Election.

  Before the rally more than three thousands supporters of IPFT and Twipra Land came out a massive procession that went through the streets of Shilghati, Hadra and adjacent areas. Later on the people gathered in a rally. In this rally IPFT Yuva Wing's state committee president Subodh Jamatia, IPFT State Chairman Harinath Deb Barma, IPFT South District Secretary Sukla Charan Jamatia. Addressing the rally Subodh Jamatia said," Time has come to stand in revolt against the CPI (M) led LF dominated intentional deprivation against the tribal community. The crores of funds are released by the Central govt for the development of the tribal community but s vast majority of the fund goes to the pockets of CPI(M) leaders. And therefore during these long years of LF Regime the condition of tribal communities has not improved. "

     IPFT Chairman Harinath Deb Barma criticized all the political parties for creating confusion among the people regarding the desperate state. He firmly said," In the year 1983 when the TTAADC was declared, the state was officially divided on that day. Why confusion is being created? “Deb Barma again slammed the state govt and the ruling party ," Over the years CPI(M) has been doing everything it can do to deprive the people of tribal communities for getting their due right and that is Twipra Land. Now it is our demand that we will achieve the target of separate Twipra Land."

    When the leaders were addressing sky breaking noise of ‘Twipra Land! Twipra Land! seemed to pierce the atmosphere. It is really very interesting that during the last few years the demand for Twipra Land has again started to raise its head in different parts of the state. And just ahead of TTAADC election the demand seems to be uniting the tribals against the CPI (M). Already in back foot in 10323 termination case and corruption issues, the demand for Twipra Land is going the oose the LF at least for the time being. Today's rally also gave a signal to the CPI (M) that opposition is now finding its place in CPI (M)'s hunting ground - tribal areas.
