SANTIR BAZAR, Jan 9 (TIWN): Under the much hyped “Double Engine” Govt, a patient died due to the negligence of the ambulance driver. A person named Angshazai Mog lost his life at Baikhora Primary Health Center due to the negligence of the ambulance driver. Reportedly, Angshazai Mog came for treatment at Baikhora Primary Health Center under Santir Bazar subdivision on Sunday night at around 11:30 PM. Seeing the patient's condition is critical, the doctor on duty referred him to Santir Bazar District Hospital for better treatment. After being referred, the doctor of Baikhora Primary Health Center called the ambulance driver several times. Ambulance driver Prashant Lodh did not respond to the doctor's phone call.
Then the doctor on duty dialed the number 102 and asked for an ambulance to come.
But before 102 Ambulance came from Jolaibari to Baikhora Primary Health Centre, Anhzazai Mug died at Baikhora Primary Health Centre.
On Monday, the on duty doctor of Baikhora primary health center said that there are many complaints against the ambulance driver named Prashant Lodh in the past few days as well. Despite all these complaints, the department did not take any action against the ambulance driver.
Last night this patient lost his life due to Prashant Lodh's eccentricity.
There are many reports that due to political pressure hospitals are bound to keep ambulance at service which fail to provide proper service but due to political pressure nothing can be said against such clubs and organizations. Officials are facing harassment and patients are losing lives.
