AGARTALA, Jan 3 (TIWN): Police removed 10323 teachers demonstration tent who had gathered at City Center to protest. The agitating teachers slammed Police, said, Police have become slaves of the ruling party and Govt. The protest was organized by Joint Movement Committee of the 10323 teachers. After the incident, JMC asked, why Police do not take action against the BJP backed group who are claiming to continue Hunger Strike for months.
10323 Teachers announced protest for an indefinite period until they get CM's reply. As 10323 Teachers proceed to Secretariat, Police Force were getting Ready with Water Cannon and Sticks. 10323 teachers to avoid any conflict with Police had sat on road and blocked the road.
10323 teachers said unless they are getting assurance from CM about their jobs, they will not leave the space. Later they moved from the place and sat in front of City Center where back in 2020-21 the teachers had demonstrated for 52 days which turned into a historical movement. The agitating teachers had sent a letter to CM Manik Saha but so far no reply has come. Ajay Debbarma, Joint Movement Committee of 10323 teachers’ organizations reminded Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma about his tall claims before 2018 Election.
