AGARTALA, Deb 28 (TIWN): Ruling ADC party Tipra Motha has lashed out at the BJP Govt over its propaganda for 12% DA Hike for the State Govt Employees. Addressing media in a press meet, Tipra Motha leader Animesh Debbarma alleged that the BJP is depriving everyone including the Govt employees. He said, when 12% DA has been called a historical decision, in reality the Govt employees in Tripura are supposed to get two times DA per year due to increasing commodity prices. “Getting DA every 6 months is employees’ right. That means if on January a DA is given, then in July another DA should be given", said Animesh Debbarma.

"It means Govt employees must get 9 to 10 DA in five years but the unfortunate part is after 3.5 years of deprivation 3% DA was given and in second phase it was given 8% and yesterday it was given for more 12%, which means only 20% DA was given in last 5 years”, said Animesh Debbarma.

“People who are talking about 7th Pay Commission, they must know that under 7th Pay Commission the Central Govt already gave 34% DA. It means there is 14% DA gap. So what’s here to celebrate ? BJP must think about its promise of 7th Pay Commission which it had given before 2018 election to the people of Tripura”, said Animesh Debbarma.

He further expressed resentment over pending ADC funds, deprivation to MGNREGA mandays, social pension and other similar issues.
