AGARTALA, Dec 27 (TIWN): TET Teachers’ Association emerged as a revolutionary organization back in 2017-18 when the TET qualified teachers formed their organization demanding 5 years fixed pay scale’s system abolishment. That time, CPI-M led Left Front Govt was in power when the Association raised question “Why no Equal Pay for Equal work?”
The organization also blocked road and BJP at that time assured them that once BJP comes to power, these 5 years fixed jobs will be removed and from Day-1 all teachers will get regular payments.
BJP came to power and the fixed pay system continued and today the same organization has stopped raising its voice against the fixed pay system. In other words, the TET Association is afraid to voice against the Govt and thus today congratulated the Govt for 12% DA hike.
The Association slammed the opposition backed teachers’ organization saying BJP Govt has raised 12% DA which is a historical decision. However, they were silent about the fact that before BJP Govt after each 6 months 5% DA was hiked and BJP in 5 years gave only 20% DA whereas the previous Left Front Govt gave 33% DA.
