Ahead of 2023 Election Tripura CM declares 12% DA Hike for State Govt Employees: BJP Calls it a ‘Historical Decision’, Opposition says ‘Cheating’

AGARTALA, Dec 27 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Saha on Tuesday declares a 12% hike of DA for the Govt employees, saying it will benefit Govt employees and also the pensioners in Tripura. Addressing a press meet CM who was sharing a dais with Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarman said that 12% DA for employees over the revised basic pay w.e.f. 1.12.2022 and 12% DR for employees with 12% over revised basic pension. Other employees’ salaries also have been hiked though contractual employees resented over the deprivation.
Whereas BJP has called it a “Historical Decision”, opposition calls it a “deprivation”.
Opposition also compared the 2014 to 2018 DA which was raised to 33% whereas under BJP era total 20% DA was given.
