AGARTALA, Dec 24 (TIWN): Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman on Saturday lambasted the BJP led State Govt for not regularizing the contractual employees even after its promise to them about regularization. Addressing Congress backed Govt employees program, Sudip Barman on Saturday said, “Earlier it was ruled that after 10 years of work, any contractual employee will be regularized but now the circular has been withdrawn. Interestingly, there were two reasons behind the conflict which started between me and the cabinet Minister".
"Apart from recruitment policy, the withdrawal of the circular which guarantees regularization of employees was a major reason. When I asked, they assured that the circular will be brought back with a new formula. Till now, the circular was not introduced again”, said Barman.
The statement came amid BJP failed to keep its Vision Document promise on “Regularization of all Govt Employees”.
He further slammed the BJP Govt over 7th pay commission like other pending promises.
Barman said, instead of recruitment, the Govt has turned the state into a drug hub. Today the entire society is gripped by intoxications of narcotics.
Sudip Barman also criticized the media’s role saying media are busy diverting the issues from the economy to other sensitive issues like religion and other divisions.
