AGARTALA, Dec 22 (TIWN): 10323 teachers’ group who are in Hunger Strike for last 64 days have asked CM Manik Saha to meet them. With that demand, the teachers went to the Chief Minister’s residential area to meet him but police stopped them. That triggered resentment among the agitating teachers and then they say in protest on road. The teachers have been protesting that for 64 days but so far no official or Minister met the agitators. On the other hand CM assured them to think about the matter but so far no declaration came from the Govt.
10323 teachers’ leader Pradip Banik said, “At least the Chief Minister should clarify whether our demands are legitimate or not. We are of the view that our jobs were never gone and we were victimized due to the wrong interpretation of a verdict and it’s written in RTI too. Also, the Govt could not give us any termination letter individually. But we are not leaving the ground. We will be here till the CM arrives and meet us”.
