GANDACHERA, Dec 22 (TIWN): Attacks on Opposition Parties continue in Tripura amid BJP’s much-hyped Sushashan. A Congress Bhawan in Gandachera was attacked by miscreants on Wednesday night. Police visited the spot and took note of the incident but are behind the activity, police are clueless. The furniture of the Congress Bhawan was vandalized by the miscreants.
Addressing the media, a Congress leader said that the incident happened after Congress managed to get 150 families to join in Congress through MLA Sudip Roy Barman’s hand.
“As soon as the news was spread, BJP blueprinted the attack. We also shared the information on social media. BJP got scared by the news. That’s why after night 12 O’Clock, this attack was organized. Our TV, flags and many other things were destroyed”, he said.
“We want to tell the BJP Govt if such attacks do not stop, we will launch massive protests across Raima Valley. By attacking Congress workers and Congress Bhawan, BJP can’t suppress us”, the Congress leader said.
Congress demanded the immediate arrest of the culprits.
